The Jaecoo 7 has only been on sale in the UK since January 2025, but has quickly become one of the best selling cars on the market. For the past few months, it has been in the top ten, but March 2026 was the first time the model has taken the number 1 spot.
Jaecoo which is owned by Chery, is joined by Omoda and Chery itself in the UK, with Lepas coming later this year. The J7 is available as a pure petrol, plug-in-hybrid as well as a recently launched full hybrid version.
Jaecoo registered 10,064 examples of the J7 last month, with 9,193 Ford Pumas, 8,718 Nissan Qashqais and 7,310 Kia Sportages registered in the same time period.
Looking at the year to date, the Jaecoo 7 is doing well, with 15,569 registered so far, which puts it in second place - slightly beaten by the Puma, which had 16,128.
