Electric Ora 05 launched in China

GWM Ora 05

Considering the UK hasn't seen the latest refreshed Ora 03 hatchback yet, it is undecided yet if the latest electric car to come from the brand will come here. However, in China GWM subsidiary, Ora has launched its first compact electric SUV with the Ora 05.

The exterior uses a lot of the same design language seen on the Ora 03, which was originally debuted as the Funky Cat. So the large round headlights continue here, but with more angular front end elements to make it more aggressive.

The rear is very similar t the 03, with large back window without a wiper, light signature below it and GWM Ora 05 lettering.

Inside, there is a very different design to what has been seen on the 03, with fabric on the dashboard and doors with a few different colours to choose from; Dawn White, Noon Brown and Midnight Grey.

Just like the refreshed Ora 03, the gear selector is now a stalk next to the wheel. with a flat-bottom steering wheel.

Ora will use an LFP battery and 150kW (bhp) motor, but the exact specifications are yet to be shared. Ora is also yet to share the pricing for the new 05.
