‪‎Apple‬ extends refunds to two weeks in Europe

Apple has decided to extend the refund window for iTunes users in the UK and rest of Europe. The details are simple. Apple will let you return, well receive a refund for any purchase made on iTunes within the two weeks window. There is a catch though, Apple has the right to refuse a refund request if the app has been opened or the song played, TV show watched and so on. If you do qualify for the refund, the iPhone maker will return payments with 14 days of the order cancelation and then, like with most refunds – credited back to the original payment method. If the ’not opening’ app policy doesn’t sound fair, thinking about it it does work sort of like a traditional physical store. Opening the app is basically the same as opening a CD or iPad.

However, unfortunately for our US based readers, it doesn’t look like it will be available over the pond any time soon. It seems it is more bringing iTunes up to date with Consumer Rights Directive in all of the European Union’s member nations than a feature for the digital store.
