Ford announces UK prices for all electric E-Transit

Ford announced the new all-electric E-Transit at the end of 2020 with a scheduled launch data of spring 2022. Like other large electric vans on sale at the moment, the E-Transit is quite pricey, at £42,695 + VAT which is actually less than the Fiat e-Ducato, Mercedes eSprinter and others.

The E-Transit is based on the current generation of the van, with a 67kWh battery pack, with the choice of a electric motor with either 181bhp or 266bhp powering the rear wheels. Like a lot of the electric vans on sale, the payload isn’t compromised and its the same here, with a payload of 1,758kg.

The Transit is one of the most versatile and customisable panel van on the market, and all of those lengths and body styles are available here on the E-Transit. With a choice short and long wheelbases, at various roof heights, a chassis cab and a double cab version.

Around the van are some little touches to differentiate it from the standard combustion versions, with a charging socket underneath the Ford logo on the front and blue accents on the grille.

Inside the E-Transit is Ford’s new Sync4 infotainment system, with a 12-inch display, complete with Apple Carplay, OTA software updates, voice control and more.

The first deliveries of the new all electric E-Transit is due to start in spring 2022.
