Ford has revealed an all-new rally inspired Mustang Mach-E, with 480bhp and four wheel drive. The car was shown off in person at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in July but under camouflage. The new car will go on sale in the UK in early 2024 with no information about the pricing or whether or not it’ll only be available as a limited edition model.

Compared to the standard Mustang Mach-E, the new rally edition has a big increase in the power output, changes to the chassis to make it more capable off-road and some pretty substantial styling changes.

In terms of power, the rally version makes slightly less than the top rung GT model, which has 487bhp. However, when compared to the standard Mustang Mach-E, at 285bhp it has a significant boost in power. In terms of torque, it now has a huge 649lb ft of torque and it should be capable of 0-60mph in just 4.0 seconds. However, at this stage, Ford has not yet confirmed all of the specs.

Ford has also raised the suspension of the Mach-E, it now sits 20mm higher than the standard car, with custom springs and Magenride shocks. There are also some special off-load Michelin CrossClimate tyres and gloss white 19-inch rally wheels.

Ford ha also added a new ‘Rally Sport’ driving mode, which offers improved acceleration control and better grip on looser surfaces. The traction control system will also allow “bigger slides.”
