Kia reveals UK pricing for new Niro SUV – priced from £27,745

Kia has revealed the UK pricing for the new refreshed Kia Niro. The second generation model will go on sale in the next few months and prices are from £27,745. The Niro has been completely reworked, with a fresh look for the interior and new design for the exterior.

Just like the previous generation of Niro, the new model will be offered as a hybrid, plug in hybrid and fully electric options. Kia has also renamed the e-Niro to be simply ‘Niro EV’.

For the line-up, the base 2 model will include 16-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, reversing camera, rear parking sensors, towing pack and an 8-inch touchscreen for the infotainment.

Jumping up to the trim above with the 3 will get you 18-inch alloy wheels, 10.5-inch touchscreen, keyless entry, privacy glass and a wireless mobile phone charger.

At the top of the lineup, is the 4 and you get a digital dash for the driver, powered tailgate, heated rear seats and a Harman Kardon audio system.

In terms of engines, the hybrid Niro will get a 1.6-litre petrol engine and a 43bhp electric motor. Together they’ll make 139bhp. For the plug-in hybrid version, it has the same engine but with a more powerful electric motor, resulting in 180bhp total.

The Niro EV has a punchy 201bhp from the last generation, there is a larger battery however at 64.8kWh giving it 287 miles of range.

Prices for the Niro start at £27,745 for the hybrid, £32,775 for the plug-in hybrid and £34,995 for the Niro EV. Pre-orders opened last week on 20th April and deliveries for the UK are set to start later this year in Q3 2022.
