Chinese car company Maxus has announced a brand new all electric pickup truck, which will be coming to the UK when it goes on sale. This is actually the very first electric pick-up truck to be launched for the this country. The T90EV is based on the pre-existing T90 double cab truck, which is already on sale in China.

Maxus has removed all of the components from the standard combustion T90 and fitted a reasonably sized 89kWh battery that sits under the chassis. The 201bhp electric motor is mounted at the rear, which also means that the T90EV is rear wheel drive. Battery range is a WLTP 198 miles.

Inside the truck is a 10.25-inch touchscreen for the infotainment with support for a reversing camera.

Maxus will put the sale here in the UK later this year August with the first deliveries to start in the first quarter of 2023. Maxus has said that prices will be revealed closer to it going on sale.
