MG Cyberster prices revealed, available to order now

The all-electric MG Cyberster roadster has recently gone on sale here in the UK, with prices starting from £54,995 for the entry level Trophy trim. Moving up to the GT model comes in at £59,995. MG showed off the concept around three years ago, two years ago some leaked fillings showed up online and then last year some images leaked from the Chinese government also made the rounds.

At the end of April, the new MG Cyberster went on sale and the first deliveries to customers are expected to commence in August, just in time for the summer. Both models are pretty similar, with cloth folding roof, scissor doors and quite a sizeable boot, based on a brief look we had in March. The main differences between the two trim levels in the drivetrain and the kit fitted as standard.

MG Cyberster Trophy

The Trophy models gets 19-inch alloy wheels and a single motor making 335bhp and 475Nm of torque. 0-60mph is handled in 5.0 seconds and has a top speed of 121mph. The battery is a 77kWh unit with an impressive 316 miles of range, WLTP. All models also get the same wraparound screen design inside, with two seven inch displays and one 10.25-inch screen for the driver. This handles all of the climate controls and has support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. You also get an eight-speaker Bose sound system, ambient lighting, 360-degree parking camera and two USB ports.

MG Cyberster GT

The GT model adds 20-inch alloys and an extra motor. It has the same 77kWh battery pack, but now has 501bhp, 725Nm of torque and four wheel drive. 0-60mph on this model is handled in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 124mph. Range here is less, at 276 miles WLTP.

Other specs

Charging speed on the Cyberster has a maximum of 150kW DC from the CCS2 port.
