MG3 5-speed manual pricing revealed at £16,495

MG3 5-speed manual

MG launched the new MG3 hatchback in 2024 and it has long been available as a hybrid only, with a price tag of £18,495. However, it was long understood that MG would launch a standard combustion version of the hatchback, to bring the list price down to something slightly more affordable.

While MG hasn't publicly acknowledged the car yet, the manual version of the MG3 has appeared on its website, sporting a price tag of £16,495, £2,000 less than the hybrid version.

The MG3 Hybrid+ has a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 3 speed automatic gearbox, but most of the work is done by the electric motors. This new model also has a 1.5-litre engine, but this time uses a five-speed manual, much like the latest generation Suzuki Swift.

While the hybrid model comes in either SE or Trophy, the manual MG3 only comes in SE, but you still get a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support as well as satellite navigation and a rear parking camera.

Not much is known at this stage regarding when the MG3 5-speed manual will go on sale in the UK, but more information can be found on the MG website. In the meantime, we have reached out to MG UK for further infomaiton.
