Mitsubishi Colt back on sale as rebadged Renault Clio

While it wont be coming to the UK, the new Mitsubishi Colt is now back on sale in Europe thanks to the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. The car is essentially a rebadged Renault Clio, evidence of which can be seen around the Mitsubishi logo on the front, which doesn’t seem to fit quite right.

The engine is the same as what is offered with the Clio, a 1.6-litre petrol engine which is actually hybrid, using two electric motors and a 1.2kWh battery pack. The Clio isn’t available with a 1.0-litre petrol engine in the UK, but it is available on the Colt.

The Mitsubishi Colt will be built in Bursa, Turkey at Renault’s factory and will be on sale later this year around Europe, just not here in the UK.
