Tesla Supercharger in Mumbai

Today, Tesla has officially launched its first Supercharger location in India. This comes after the company launched sales of its EVs in the country around two weeks ago, starting with the Model Y.

Now, the company has launched its first Supercharger location in the country, starting with one in Mumbai which has four V4 Superchargers, capable of 250kW. This site is also unusual, as Tesla has installed four Destination Chargers, capable of 11kW which are open to the public.

Tesla hasn't yet published the pricing on its website, but this won't be the only one - as the company has three other locations marked as "in construction" in Thane, Lower Parel and Navi Mumbai. All of these locations will only have four V4 bays.

Tesla also offers two versions of the Model Y in India, with the RWD featuring a 60kWh battery and 500km (310 miles) WLTP range. This version retails for ₹59,89,000 (£51,000). Also available is the RWD Long Range, which has a larger 75kWh battery and 622km (386 miles) WLTP range for ₹67,89,000 (£58,000).
