New all electric Vauxhall Astra will be launch in 2023

Vauxhall announced the all new Astra in July this year, no in its eighth generation touting a redesigned front end and sitting on a brand new Stellantis platform, paving the way new hybrid options and a fully electric version. Vauxhall has announced recently that a new fully electric Astra will be launched in 2023 and will be on sale alongside the plug in hybrid version that will be on sale, with the rest of the new line up later in October.

The upcoming Astra-e will join the Corsa-e and the Mokka-e, as well as the company’s full range of the electric vans, in all sizes. Vauxhall is even planning to have a fully electric version of each of its models by 2024, then the company will be electric only from 2028.

Vauxhall hasn’t said much about the new Astra-e, but it’ll sit on the eVMP platform, with 60kWh and 100kWh battery packs and up to 434 miles of range on one charge.
