Some Ford Mustang Mach-E cars are being recalled due to loose bolts

The new Ford Mustang Mach-E has gone on sale in the US and UK recently but it has had its first issue already, a small percentage of cars have had some loose bolts on the subframe, it noticed this issue during the extensive QA process. Ford has said that no cars are affected in the EU and UK, but 1,258 cars have an issue in the US and 90 in Canada.

“Some vehicles may have subframe bolts that the supplier did not tighten to specification. While the issue in affected vehicles is not to Ford’s standards, the company is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this condition.”

While there are over 1,000 affected Mach-E cars with the issue state side, Ford has said a very large proportion of those haven’t even been shipped to customers yet, around 75 customers have had delivery of a Mach-E with the loose bolt issue – those customers affected will need to bring the car into a dealer to get sorted.
