Tesla is recalling all of the Cybertrucks due to a stuck accelerator pedal

Tesla has issued a recall for the Cybertruck in the US due to an incident on all 3,878 vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has submitted a notice outlining the issue. According to the report, the accelerator pedal cover could get dislodged and then stuck underneath some of the interior trim, causing the pedal to be jammed on. The main cause of the issue looks to be due to excessive lubricant.

Tesla will be replacing and repairing the pedals as and where needed free of charge. Tesla will be letting all customers know in June, but any customers who want the issue fixed now can organise an apppoitmnet by calling +1-877-798-3752 with reference ID SB-24-33-003.

The fix looks to be simply a rivet being put in place at the base of the pedal to hold it in place.
