Tesla Model X price revealed, starts at $80,000

Not too long ago, Tesla unveiled the the Model X, the company’s first crossover – it’s basically a big, seven seater cross over with gull-wing style doors. When it was announced we had no clue on what the price would be, shortly after many people assumed that the price would be in the £100,000 range but as it turns out the Model X will start at $80,000/£53,112 and for that you get the Model X 70D which can last 220 miles on one charge and accelerate from 0-60 in 6 seconds.

Other models

The other models available are the 90D and P90D both have a larger 90-kWh battery and can last up to 250 miles on one charge, the 90D can do 0-60 in 4.8 seconds and the P90D is close to Model S speeds, doing 0-60 in just 3.8 seconds.

The list of optional extras is costly, the standard car comes with just five seats, but for $3,000 you can upgrade to six and for $4,000 you can upgrade to 7 seats. The infamous Autopilot system is a $2,500 option and a basic towing package will cost you $750.
