Fiat launches new in-house E-Ducato Cargo Box

At the IAA Transportation show in Germany, Fiat showed off its new E-Ducato Cargo Box van, an off the shelf option and the first model to come from the Fiat Professional CustomFit programme, an in-house offering which plans to convert various commercial vehicles to tailer to the needs of its commercial customers. The programme will expand to other models in the future, but is only doing the E-Ducato for now.

The box itself has a cargo volume of 18.3 m³, with dimensions of 4,230 mm L x 2,032 mm W and 2,150 mm H. Fiat will also released a larger version with up to 20.5 m³. For the battery, Fiat has used a much larger pack than offered in the panel van, at 110kWh but no range figures are available yet. The motor has 200kW of power (268bhp) and 410Nm of torque.

The standard panel van version of the E-Ducato is around £56,000 in the UK, so expect this Luton body style version to cost over £60,000. However, official prices from Fiat are yet to be revealed. No information is available yet if Fiat will release this variant in the UK.
