Tesla reduces base price of Model S

Tesla reduces base price of Model S

This week, Tesla has reduced the price of the base spec Model S and the Model X cars. For both models the 75 and 75D variants have had up to $5,000 knocked off the price, also the high end 90D version has seen a $2,000 reduction.

This change only comes a weeks after the lower end 60 and 60D versions were discontinued, Tesla mentioned at the time that the cheaper models weren’t selling as well and most buyers were bumping up to the higher end 75 and 75D.

Not just price cuts

Along with cheaper entry level cars, the higer end 100D and P100D variants of both the Model S and Model X have had their prices hiked.

The Model S 100D has had $5,000 added and the Model X 100D has had $1,000 added to the list price.

The Model S P100D has had $5,500 added and the Model X P100D had $9,500 added.

When can I see these changes?

The lower end models with the price drop have taken immediate effect this week, but the price increases will be added from April 24th.
