Ubiquiti launches new Smart Flood Light for UniFi Protect

Today, Ubiquiti has released a brand new Smart Flood Light for use with the UniFi Protect camera system. Powered by 802.3af PoE, the floodlight can be paired to any camera in Protect and it’ll use both the PIR sensor on the base of the light and the motion sensing abilities in the camera to then turn on the light. The floodlights brightness can be configured and it’ll get up to 550 lumens of brightness. Ubiquiti also includes two light covers, the standard see through one you see in the photo as well as a diffused, frosted cover too.

The light integrates into the UniFi web and mobile apps and it allows you to control the light by manually turning it on, letting it turn on all the time when it is dark or only turning on when it detects motion by itself, as well as the paired camera – which is optional.

UniFi Protect Smart Flood Light Mounting

Ubiquiti also includes to different wall mounting options, a flat wall mount and a tilted angle mount, which would be useful above a door. The floodlight can be used outdoors, but is rated for IPX5 waterproof.

The UniFi Protect Smart Flood Light is available to purchase from Ubiquiti direct on its own store, store.ui.com for $99 in the US. Ubiquiti hasn’t announced EU or UK availability or pricing at this stage.

Update 08/05/21 06:38pm UK time: Ubiquiti has now added the UniFi Smart Flood Light to its EU Store for £88.60 / €102 (Link here)
