Wondery+ will launch its podcasts on Apple Podcasts Subscriptions soon

Wondery+ will launch its podcasts on Apple Podcasts Subscriptions soon

Apple announced its new ‘Apple Podcasts Subscriptions’ service in April and it’ll be launching soon, most likely with the upcoming iOS 14.6 release. It offers an easy way for paid podcasts to upload their content and charge for it, all through Apple. Apple will even host the podcast for you.

When Apple’s service launches later this month, Amazon’s own service, Wondery+ which is acquired in 2020 will be launching all of its podcasts ad-free on Apple Podcasts for $4.99 per month or $34.99 per year, which is the same prices as it offers on other platforms. Wondery still has free podcasts which are supported by adverts and these are going to remain available.

When Apple Podcasts Subscriptions launches, it’ll have exclusive podcasts from NPR, the Los Angeles Times, The Athletic, Sony Music Entertainment, and many more.
