MG updates it’s all electric 5 estate with a larger battery

MG has launched a new battery option for its MG 5 SW, an all electric saloon and estate from the company. This new model has a large 61.1kWh battery pack, giving the car a range of 250 miles. It can be had in the Excite and Exclusive trim levels, priced at £26,495 and £28,995 respectively.

“With the new longer-range model, we’re offering MG customers even greater value and flexibility from their EVs. With a full charge giving a WLTP-approved range of 250 miles and the ability to be rapid-charged to 80% in as little as 40 minutes”

The MG 5 can be charged up from 0% to 80% in one hour when using a 50kW rapid charger, or when using an 100kW charger, it takes 40 minutes. MG is also selling a slightly less expose model, with 214 miles of range.
