Ford makes the Ford Mondeo, Galaxy and S-Max hybrid only and stops selling the diesel versions

The Ford Mondeo is only going to be around for a few more months in Europe and the UK, however Ford is changing up the engine line up for it as well as the Galaxy and the S-Max. Diesel in the car industry is being removed as an option on many car models, and that’s what is happening here, Ford is removing the option for diesel on the Mondeo, Galaxy and S-Max.

Instead, all three cars will only be available as a mild-hybrid, mated to a petrol engine with around 187bhp.

In 2020, Ford stopped selling a diesel Fiesta due to low sales and other manufacturers have followed suit. Ford now only offers a diesel engine on its Transit Connect, Transit and the Tourney MPV van, as well as the Focus and Focus ST.
