Mercedes introduces new all electric EQS SUV with 410 miles of range

Today, Mercedes has introduced a new all electric EQS SUV with prices starting at around £110,00 in the UK with the top spec model set to have 410 miles of range. The new SUV is basically the equivalent to the EQS saloon but comes with seven seats.

The EQS SUV is direct battery powered replacement for the GLS if you were in the market for it. The GLS will still be available however. The EQS SUV will go on sale later this year in the US and UK for £110,000 which will get you the EQS 450+ and it’ll be rear wheel drive.

Mercedes has said that there will be some four wheel drive models available but at this time, no AMG versions have been announced.

All versions of the EQS SUV will use a 107.8kWh battery pack with a range of 410 miles. The motor makes 355bhp and 568Nm of torque. All versions will be able to charge at up to 200kW rapid charging, which in the real world means charging up from 10-80% in just 31 minutes.

Inside is a 12.3-inch digital display for the driver and a 12.8-inch portrait touchscreen for the infotainment.

The new EQS SUV is set to go on sale later in 2022.
