EV focused magazine and website, DrivingElectric has awarded the all new MG4 EV with ‘Car of the Year’ for 2023. The budget focused EV from MG comfortably undercuts the likes of pretty much everything on the market, coming in at just £25,995 in the UK, over £10k less than the comparable Volkswagen ID.3. The VW is currently priced from £36,990.

It isn’t like the MG4 is down on specs, it has plenty of kit as standard, including 150kW DC rapid charging, over 200 miles of range, MG seven year warranty, large touchscreen for the infotainment with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The MG4 even comes standard with the ability to use the iSMART app, allowing you to set the temperature of the cabin from anywhere in the world. The new MG4 has also been awarded a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating this week.

It isn’t just DrivingElectric that are impressed with the car, it was also their ‘Readers’ Favourite Electric Car’ too.

MG Rover was purchased by Chinese brand, SAIC after the company went bankrupt back in 2005. The MG brand was relaunched around a decade ago and more recently the company has been churning out good looking, feature rich electric vehicles such as this new MG4, the MG5 estate and the MG HS.
