In late March 2023, Lotus started to deliver the first units of the new all electric Eletre SUV in China. Given that Lotus is now a subsidiary of Geely, it is only fitting that Chinese customers get the new car first. Later this year, the company is planning on delivering the car to customers in the EU and UK.

Lotus is also planning on launching the Eletre in the US and other countries, but no time frame for this has been given so far.

As of 31st January 2023, Lotus has had more than 5,000 orders worldwide, with prices in the UK starting at a lofty £89,500. Fo that you get large 112kWh battery pack, 600km (372 miles) of range and a 450kW motor. Lotus hasn’t shared the charging kW speed, but has said that the large battery will be able to charge up from 10-80% in just 20 minutes.

While prices start at £89,500, other trim levels will be available with the Eletre S at £104,500 and the top spec Eletre R art £120,000. The Eletre R will have a more powerful motor and will be capable of 0-60mph in 2.95 seconds and a top speed of 165mph.
