Audi announces new Q4-E-tron

Audi announces new Q4-E-tron

Recently, Audi has announced the new Q4 E-tron which is the companies answer to the new Volkswagen ID.4 and Skoda Enyaq of which all three now share the same MEB platform and are all roughly the same size, with the Skoda being the largest of the three. The Q4 E-tron is now the fourth all electric car Audi has launched so far, joining the E-tron SUV, E-tron Sportback and the E-tron GT. The E-tron GT shares its main running gear with the Porsche Taycan, a company which also lives under the Volkswagen Group.

Like the E-tron SUV, the Q4 E-tron also comes in two different design versions, a sportback and normal SUV which offers some more choice, as well as complexity into the line up.

Audi is offering a large choice of batteries, motors and therefore range options with the Q4 E-tron. Starting with the Q4 35 E-tron, which has 168bhp from its motor and a 52kWh battery, with 0-60mph in 9 seconds and a WLTP range of 208 miles.

All models have varying charging speeds and inputs, the 35 has a 7.4kW on board system for AC and can take up to 100kW DC. The 40 and 50 models have a 11kW on board system for AC and can handle 125kW DC.

The 40 has the same motor as the 35, but with 201bhp, with a 77kWh battery, 0-60mph in 8.5 seconds and a range of 316 miles.

The 50 has 295bhp, 77kWh battery, 0-60mph in 6.2 seconds and 295 miles of range.

Pricing for the SUV model starts at £40,750 for the 35 model in the UK and will come in various Audi trim levels, including Sport, S Line, Edition 1 and Vorsprung. Audi will start selling the Q4 E-tron later this year.
