Lotus announces prices of new Emira sports car

Lotus is in the middle of a model shake up at the moment, with its existing models the Exige and Elise entering their final editions recently. The new Emira is the company’s first all new sports car in over 10 years and its a V6 powered two seater sports car, that looks like a high end super car.

The Emira will have a starting price of £59,995 for the 2.0-litre AMG version, when it goes on sale later this year. Initially the Toyota powered V6 version will be priced at £75,995 with a First Edition going on sale first. The engine is from the outgoing Evora.

The limited run First Edition will have two-tone alloys, Lotus branded brake calipers, 12-way adjustable heated seats and more. The exterior can be had in a choice of six colours, while seven colours are available fo the interior.

0-60mph is handled in 4.5 seconds, with a top speed of 180mph. Inside, Lotus has completely modernised the tech it offers, with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
