Google Nest cameras now work with Amazon Alexa

This week Google has announced that its line of Nest smart cameras will now be compatible with Amazon Alexa devices, such as the Amazon Fire TV and Echo Show. Google has updated Amazon Alexa Skills few days ago and users will now be able to pull up the camera feed on the screen.

Amazon also started to open up its Alexa eco system to be able to support security cameras from Google Nest, Ring, Abode and others.

This new skill for Alexa means that the Nest Cam with Floodlight, as ell as the battery versions of the Nest Cam and Nest Doorbell will now be able to be streamed to the Echo Show, Fire TV or Fire Tablets.

However, Nest is still lacking support for Apple HomeKit, without the need to use something like Homebridge. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction.
