GWM ORA 03 now has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

GWM Ora has today revealed that Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is now available for the 03 hatchback, formally the Ora Funky Cat. Support for smartphone mirroring on the Ora 03 has been a very long time coming, ever since the car was originally debuted in the UK, back in November 2022. At the time, it was said that the company was working on rolling out support soon.

The new update for the 03 is available now and is free of charge. The company will be offering updates via the Ora dealerships, of which it has 30 of in the UK. Going forward, Ora will be offering support for over-the-air (OTA) updates, which haven't been available. According to a post on oraevs.com, Miles Roberts has said the update is "pretty painless" and is completed over USB.

The 03 has two 10.25-inch screens and the company said the CarPlay support has  been "extensively tested so that it works seamlessly."

When we reviewed the car back in November 2023, it was one of the main glaring issues with the car. The company shared the news via X this morning and customers can request an update to be completed via their local GWM Ora dealership.

GWM Ora now offers two trim levels of the 03, Pure+ and Pro+. Pure+ comes with a 48kWh battery pack and 193 miles of range. The Pro+ comes with a larger 63kWh battery and 260 miles of range. The latter also adds heated and cooled massage front seats, heated steering wheel, panoramic sunroof, powered tailgate and more.
