Renault refreshes the Kangoo EV van, with updated design and lower prices

Renault has just announced some minor updates to its Kangoo small van, the changes bring the model up to date with the rest of the Renault lineup which includes a larger company logo, new grille design and some changes inside too. The main news is that the electric Kangoo E-Tech is now cheaper by up to £2,500.

Inside, the spec has been cleaned up a bit so all models now come with a 4.2-inch digital driver's display, electric parking break, passenger sun visor, reversing camera and automatic high beam assist. A lot of new safety equipment also now comes as standard on all models, including airbags for the driver, passenger, front lateral and curtain.

The electric Renault Kangoo E-Tech is also now cheaper across the range, with prices from £34,075 which is now between £1,000 and £2,500 cheaper than before. Renault attributes this to improved manufacturing efficiency. The petrol model is still signifanty cheaper though, with petrol from £20,250 and  diesel from £21,250.

Orders can be placed now with first customer deliveries due in July.
