Ubiquiti debuts UniFi Talk 3.2.0, adds support for number porting in the UK

Ubiquiti has had UniFi Talk out for a a number of years and has slowly been adding features and other regions that can support it. In November 2023, support was finally added for the UK market and then in June of that year, support for Canada was added too. However, for the UK launch, the main feature missing was number porting, making migration somewhat hard unless you were a new business getting started.

Just this week, Ubiquiti released UniFi Talk 3.2.0 to Early Access (Ubiquti's name for beta) which adds support for number porting in the UK. General advice is not to use beta software in a production environment where it matters, but definitely test it out. Upon inspection, to enable number porting you do need to provide some personal or business verification which can take around two weeks to complete. At the same time, Ubiquiti has also removed the country requirement for using UniFi Talk with a third party SIP provider, with a new 'International' option.

For the hardware, Ubiquiti stopped offering the Flex phone a while back, but offers the ATA device and two touchscreen based phones.
