Today, Apple has releases a new major update for Logic Pro X, bringing the version up to 10.5 now. One of the major new features was the addition of Live Loops for the first time, something that has been on GarageBand for a while now.
Live Loops allows users to easily get loops and samples and other recordings and easily integrate them into the current project. This new update brings over 2,500 loops from all kinds of musical genres and instruments.
• Compose music by arranging and triggering cells in a grid using loops, samples, and your recordings
• Perform and capture freeform arrangement ideas into the tracks area
• Add Remix FX to perform creative effects like filters, gates, repeaters, and bitcrusher
• Use Logic Remote on your iPad or iPhone to perform Live Loops and Remix FX using Multi-Touch gestures to trigger several loops or effects simultaneously
Apple has also redesigned he sampling workflow and much more. Apple has long offered Logic Remote or iOS and iPadOS and today sees a major update too and now allow users to remotely control Live Loops and much more.
The update to Logic Pro X is out now and if you haven’t used it before, Apple is offering a 90 day free trial and the app costs £199.99 in the UK and $199 in the US.
