Yesterday, Apple launched two new Pride Edition Apple Watch sport bands, the first time a pride edition has been a sport band so far, last year the band was a nylon Sport Loop. Apple has regularly been making Pride Edition bands for the Apple Watch for a few years now, to support all the LGBTQ organisations across the world. This year, Nike has also gotten involved with a colourful watch face and Nike Edition Sport Band.
Apple will also be launching new Pride Edition watch faces, which will be coming soon in an upcoming watchOS update, watchOS 6.2.5 which is currently in beta and should be launching soon.
“Through this effort, Apple and Nike are proud to support LGBTQ organisations doing vital advocacy and community-building worldwide, including GLSEN, PFLAG, The Trevor Project, Gender Spectrum, The National Center for Transgender Equality, and ILGA World, which brings together more than 1,500 member organisations in more than 150 countries and regions.”
