Mountune who is best known for making tuned Fords has been having some financial issues lately, last month the founder David Mountain left the company and held the position of technical director at the company and Andrew Williams has taken over as director.
However in the 2017 financial year, the company reported a loss of £107,429 and no new reports have been published since and now an accounting company KPMG has been drafted in to find a investor to “recapitalise the business and to unlock management’s growth aspirations.”
Mountune has long offered tuned up versions of the Fiesta ST models over the years and the latest Mk8 Fiesta has been fettled by Mountune to produce 232bhp.
It may be the case that Ford just ends up purchasing Mountune, but we’ll have to wait and see.
