This week, Mercedes has revealed the pricing for the new T-Class, which is one of those van/MPV type vehicles, many of which seem to be launching. The T-Class will be coming to the UK, but Mercedes yet revealed the pricing for this region, instead the company has revealed the price in its home country of Germany.

The new T-Class will be €29,314 which is the equivalent to around £24,000 in the UK. The T-Class is rivalling the new Caddy, which also has an MPV version and both are pretty much the same price.

Mercedes has a few trim levels, with ‘Style’ and ‘Progressive’ as well as a number of packs which add optional extras. The ‘Style’ comes with synthetic leather seats, chrome detailing inside, ambient lighting and some fold-away tables for the rear passengers.

The ‘Progressive’ will add matt-silver interior trim, 16-inch alloys wheels, electric windows in the rear doors and LED headlights.

There are a number of packs on offer, with the Technology Pack which adds wireless phone charging, keyless go and upgraded lights. This pack will be £1,305. The Winter Pack is £556 and adds a heated steering wheel, heated windscreen and heated seats.

Mercedes is due to start accepting orders later in August, but UK prices are yet to be announced. All the prices mentioned here are converted from euros to pounds.

In terms of engines, the choices here are the same as the Renault Kangoo, of which it is based. There is a 1.3-litre petrol with 101bhp or 129bhp as well as a diesel with either 94bhp or 114bhp. All models come with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, although on the more potent models an automatic seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox is available.
