Smart revealed the all new #1 electric SUV in April earlier this year, but hasn’t yet announced the pricing for it. However, last week the company revealed the full price list ahead of the car being available to order this year. For customers in Germany, the #1 will start at €41,490 and here in the UK those haven’t been revealed just yet. However, €41,490 converted to GBP is around £36,500.

When it comes to the release schedule for the #1, Smart has made some changes. Originally, the company announced back in June that the order books for the #1 will open later this year in December, with deliveries for customer starting in the middle of 2023. However, Smart has changed a few details about the release schedule. Pre-orders in the UK will now start in January 2023, with left-hand drive European markets now brought forward to October 2022. Smart has now said that the first cars will be delivered to customers at the start of next year.

For customers here in the UK, Smart is going for a slower rollout now. Starting from January 2023, customers will be able to order the #1 Launch Edition, but only 100 units are going to be available. Fort the rest of the model lineup, that will now be pushed back until Q2 2023.

The Smart #1 will have a 66kWh battery with a range of 440km (273 miles). The car also supports 150kW rapid charging, meaning the Smart #1 can be charged from 10-80% in around 30 minutes. The #1 has been fitted with a single motor at the back of the car, which produces 268bhp, with a top speed of 112mph. At the time of writing, Smart has not yet revealed a time for 0-60mph.

For pricing, the base model starts at €41,490 (£36,500), the #1 Premium from €44,990 (£39,400) and the high end Brabus edition from €48,990 (£43,000). Over in China, the #1 is already available, with deliveries that started last week. Prices there are cheaper, from 194,200 yuan (€28,055 / £24,600).
