Volkswagen is planning on revealing a new, refreshed ID.3 on 1st March, with a much improved infotainment system – something which has been a pain-point for many reviewers. Other improvements will come to the design, which will see a subtle refresh with new LED lights on the rear, which can be seen in the LinkedIn post down below.

This new refreshed ID.3 comes two-and-a-half years after the first models were starting to be delivered to customers, but due to issues with the software and infotainment system the refresh was brought forward from what VW had originally planned.

Volkswagen has said that the ID.3 will now feature a larger 12-inch touchscreen of the infotainment, with an illuminated section for the climate controls – as this could not be seen in the dark before. Actual physical buttons on the steering wheel could also make a return, again after negative customer feedback to the haptic controls used currently.

The new ID.3 is set to be revealed on 1st March.
