Eve has today announced two new products to add to its ever increasing range of HomeKit connected accessories for the smart home. Although it doesn’t feel like it, CES is this week and Eve has announced a new Outdoor Cam and Eve MotionBlinds.
The outdoor camera is pictured above and only works with Apple’s HomeKit Secure Video system. It is an outdoor camera with integrated floodlight which’ll come on when there is motion. HomeKit Secure Video starts at £0.79 / $0.99 per month for up to ten days of storage and needs a HomeKit hub to work.
The Outdoor Cam is IP55 water and dust resistant and comes with a 1080p sensor, infrared night vision and supports two way audio, with its integrated microphone and speaker.
Eve also announced MotionBlinds, an all in one motorised system which supports Thread for communication, so no extra hub is needed. Like all Eve products, there is no cloud subscription and privacy is at the utmost priority, hence the exclusive compatibility with HomeKit. MotionBlinds use a USB-C rechargeable battery pack which needs to be charged once or twice a year. MotionBlinds are also a partnership between Eve and Coulisse, a company which has been in the game since 1992.
Thanks to this partnership, there is a wide array of customisation available with the blinds, custom length, width and fabric.
