Apple had a critical services outage earlier today

Earlier today, a lot of Apple’s major services went offline, such as Apple Music, Apple Pay and iMessage. Most of the services were down for around 45 mins between 04:30pm and 05:15pm (UK time). Nearly every iCloud service, Game Centre, iMessage, Apple Maps and more were affected. Apple has not mentioned what caused the outage, but everything is now back online again.
